AOD, complain away, mouth problems are horrible. I don't think any of us are keeping a table of who has the most misery, we have enough sympathy to go round. I hope the anti-b's work quickly.

Gers, is there anyone else who might be able to offer your mum a little time in between visits from you? My mum did have paid carers once a week for her DH but she didn't really like any carer very much. It did give her a break though, she was caring for DH 24/7. I did try to point out that she wasn't necessarily expected to form a close relationship with the carer, just use the time. She did but it was a strange mixture of wanting a few hours off and disliking tge person on principle.
