CCJ I didnt know about

Hi Everyone,

I'm abit lost as to what to do here, I've been rejected for a mortgage today and checked my credit file as a result and there is a CCJ dating from Feb 2015 on there which I had no idea about....

It hasn't caused me any problems up to now as I barely use credit and always pay upfront for things (thats how I was brought up).

I've emailed the county court business centre which is the court on my profile asking for details about it, but my question is can I get it set aside as I was never aware of it, I've been digging all night to no avail, I can't even think what its for and if I had have known about it I would have dealt with it sooner....

What can I do?

You cannot make any plans to deal with it until you have the full background information. Once you have this report back and I am sure someone will be able to give you some guidance.

To obtain a successful setaside, you need a defence with a reasonable chance of success.

So you need to find out the details of the judgment order first.
