I applied for and was approved for a credit card. I'd like to know if this application will affect my application for a loan that I am planning on making next month?

    It seems like it did with over 27% interest rate ;)

    More likely it is the problem of having no or little history of successful credit account management....
    I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.
