    just received this.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I can't offer to renew your overdraft limit at the moment. You'll need to ring our managed accounts department as speak to them about a repayment plan. The number to call is 0870 241 1068.

To make this decision we've used information from our credit reference agency, Experian. If you want a copy of the details they gave us, you can go on line at https://www.experian.co.uk. The fee for this service is £2.00. Or you can order by phone on 0870 241 6212, where the fee is £2.50. You're also able to send a £2.00 cheque/p.o made out to Experian Ltd. and send to: Experian Consumer Help Desk, Experian, PO Box 8000, Nottingham NG1 5GX.

  • excellent. Glad to hear you called them and sorted it out. You can now get round to paying off what you have. Martins advice is to set up a standing order for your minimum payments as they stand at the moment. This means that when your minimum payment goes lower you will then be overpaying every month. Also means you never miss a payment and you can pay extra off of it if and when you have spare cash. Well done
5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
    Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
    Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
    By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.00

    thanks everyone,

Forgot to say, if anyone has the same problem. Smile told me they'd never expect a custmoer to repay the whole over draft at once.

They reduce your overdraft each month in multiples of £20.00, so the lowest they reduce it each month is £20.00.

Felt quite proud of myself that I'm doing it by £40.00 a month, before i'd go for the lowest option.

I'm £40.00 down a month however at least its another debt clearing.

    right.

got myself sorted with a spend diary and have banned beer for 30 days, and may go further after that.

was gonna have a nsd but, went to chip shop as no food in until tonight. feel a bit guilty, although now is the time wherei will spend £30.00 on a friday evening drink.

my overdraft scares me as well i always try and request a change before the annual review is due so that the review date is re set.

    Hi poppy.

I've started doing some ebaying, getting rid of all my junk.

really cant wait until pay day so I can work to becoming debt free.

think my only downfall is going to be cutting down on drink. that is my main source of where my money is going.
