The prize:
The winner and a guest will stay for two nights, B&B, at the Forest Side, a luxurious hotel set back from the Keswick to Grasmere road in the heart of the Lake District. The sumptuous interiors of this grand neo-gothic mansion feature Zoffany wallpapers and fabrics, with bespoke beds in the guestrooms. The grounds include a stretch of fellside, home to red squirrels and wild roe deer.
The hotel has a Michelin-starred restaurant, where head chef Kevin Tickle makes extensive use of local Cumbrian ingredients, including west coast langoustine, Lake District venison and Herdwick hogget. Produce from Forest Side’s kitchen garden features heavily and a 10-course tasting menu for two (excluding drinks) is included in the prize.
The prize must be taken between a Wednesday and Sunday before December 20, 2018, subject to availability and excluding school and public holidays. It must be booked by October 5.
