Using Mi Light FUT096 - help needed please

We've just had remote controlled lights installed in our sitting room - four separate zones controlled by the Mi Light FUT096. The instructions are pretty hopeless, but we've managed (with some help from YouTube) to work out how to change colours, get them to stay static/flash etc.
What we haven't been able to work out is how to get white lights. The colour ring doesn't seem to work for that and the instructions simply say to press [icon which looks like a small vertical line] - but that switches them off.
If anyone could help, please, or provide a link to a Youtube video or other instructions, that would be much appreciated. Googling hasn't helped so far!
