Hi all
we have decided to do a stall at the xmas fayre for the children to buy pressie for mum / dad. (in a classroom so mum / dad still get a surprise!!)
Now we intend to sell these for £1.00 each.
So I need to find ideas that cost max 75p (poss 80p at a push) as we will also be supplying wrapping paper and bows and helping the children to do their wrapping.
So any ideas for really cheapy pressies. The best we have come up with so far is one of the PFA mums does avon and is going to keep an eye out in the special reps brouchere she gets for things (hand cream etc)
I keep finding lots of ideas at £1.00 but we would like to make a small profit (probably only 10p each gift) so need to keep the cost down.
Or any where that may offer me a discount for bulk buying?
Thanks for your thoughts

H&M are having a sale at the moment and I noticed today that quite a few earrings, headbands, hand cream, nail varnishes are on offer for 50p.Not Buying It! 20150

If there's a Home Bargains near you they have lots of things you can pick up for less than £1, for both the mums and dads - pens, woolly gloves, candles, smellies etc.Not Buying It! 20150

Are there any generous supermarkets/department stores near by? Or would a poundshop/other shop do a discount if you bought in bulk as all for a good cause?0

I was in Poundland this afternoon and they had lots of candles and bath bomb sets that you could probably split and repackage with cellophane.
Eg they had a coffee candle set with 8 mini candles in tins. You could divide that in to 2 add the 10p? cost of cellophane and ribbon per set and that's 80p profit from £1. (40p per gift) Would be a lot of effort though. You might think of better items to repackage.0 -
Hi
Hawkins Bazaar do lots of little things ranging from about 20p upwards, if you haven't got one local they do have a web site. I use them to make up christmas crackers.

What about getting sets of mugs that are fairly cheap(wilkinsons tesco poundland etc),splitting the pack and then put a sachet of hot chockie and a few chocolates inside each one then wrapping nicely with cellophane? You could adapt the mug contents to siut the budget?0

My daughters school used to do this. They asked for donations from the parents of brand new and unwanted good quality items and guess what they got them. They were donated. The tricky thing is keeping a note of who donates what and trying to make sure their kids don't buy it back!! However, I would imagine that in this unlikely event the parent would not be that bothered after all it is nice that the kids have a chance to choose something they really want to give.

what about getting some cheap white mugs and some ceramic paint (try freecycle to see if anyone has any just sitting doing nothing) and getting the kids to paint the mugs for presents.0

Box or bag of votive/tealight candles and glue glitter/sparkley beads around the outside and repack in cost effective bundles. Looks more fancy than it sounds.
