self-employed & Tax ?

Hi, i want to register for self employment for tax & insurance

Please can someone send me a link, i am going around in circles via the direct gov website ?

    Tax is hmrc and insurance you get your own. You will need to register with companies house though

    You only need to bother companies house if you are trading as a ltd company and if ltd company you are still an employee so no need to register with HMRC as self employed.

    National insurance is also HMRC , I assume that is what the OP means.

    As per comeandgo , no need to register with companies house.

    OP you can find a help number for HMRC and phone them to ask they are often surprisingly helpful.
