Can anyone confirm the qualifying years for state pension, I believe if you had 30 years before 2016, then the 35 years from 2016 don't apply.

You’ll need 35 qualifying years to get the full new State Pension. You’ll get a proportion of the new State Pension if you have between 10 and 35 qualifying years.

The old basic state pension only applies if you were born before 6 April 1951 if you’re a man, or 6 April 1953 if you’re a woman

As per antrobus's link, there's no 'one size fits all' rule for those who started their working lives under the old (pre 6/4/2016) rules but will reach state retirement age under the new rules, as it depends on your individual circumstances.
You need to get a personalised State Pension forecast which will tell you how much pension you have currently earned and (if applicable) how many more NI years you need to accumulate to get the maximum state pension amount.
