Can I loan my daughter my credit card for an emergency

Sounds weird, it's not.
She's going to Barcelona soon and as a back up I'd like her to take it in case she needs anything. I know she will pay me back that's not the issue. She has my full permission.
My concern is if this card is stolen, would I be covered for any misuse?

It will be in your terms and conditions, but they generally don't allow this unless she's a secondary card holder.0

Have you time to get her a card on your account. That would be the preferable option.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -
Hmmm not really possible due to the timescale now.
It was just a thought, I didn't want her having a lot of money where pickpocketing and theft is rife0 -
You would have to add her as an additional cardholder and she would need a card in her own name.
You!!!8217;re more likely to have the card blocked if she uses one in name that isn!!!8217;t hers0 -
Is she just going on holiday?0

If you do it you're going to wave away your ability to claim fraud if the card is cloned or stolen. Given how costly that could be it's not something I'd do myself.0

I believe there are prepaid cards you can use as an alternative to cash that might be worth looking into.0

@gillybean129 - Load up the pre-paid card with the necessary budget and your good to go!!

Yes, a pre-paid currency card could be your best option.
It only takes a few days to get a Starling or Monzo card, both of which we use and recommend. Or even a Revolut card.
Under no circumstances let her take your personal credit card. Even though you have total trust in her you are opening yourself up to all kinds of consequences if it should be lost, misplaced or stolen. Or even if queried at a hotel or restaurant.
Tell her to enjoy Barcelona. We just did a couple of months ago. The advice about a cross body bag is excellent.0
