settlement question

Did I agree to a settlement to early, my endowment was with standard life, sold to my spouse and myself by Nat West, now owned I believe by Royal bank of Scotland. The shortfall was approx £11,000 but their explanation and their subsequent offer was related to the difference had my morgage been a repayment type. I couldn't prove a misselling and that the endowment performance was not the issue.

The redress for endowments is on a formulae to put you in the same position had you taken out a repayment mortgage instead of an endowment. Redress does not cover the amount your endowment is estimated to fall short by, it only seeks to ensure you are not out of pocket by choosing the endowment over a repayment mortgage. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0
