I always enjoy a game of cards, very little 'equipment' needed, and lots of different games.

Flux is always fun to play, the rules keep changing, and you can win in anywhere between 2 mins or 40 mins.

We are in mid 50s but very young in our minds. :rotfl:

    Thanks for all the suggestions:beer:

So are my parents, and they too enjoy the games I suggested. My boyfriend and I recently had a Trivial Pursuits night with my parents. We had a great night, far better than just sitting around watching TV and there was something for everyone.

If you don't want to spend too much money then two ideas...bingo, there are loads to print out on line including themed ones such as christmas and can be words, numbers or pics if ther are smaller ones in the group. You could splash out on prizes such as chocolate coins for the winner. There are lots of on line quizzes, pub type. I even found a quiz on christmas carols, can't remember what they are called, when you have to deduce the titles from pictures. Lemons for the losing team/player lol.

What about playing pictionary, you dont need to buy anything, all you need is a few pens/pencils, some scrap paper and a stopwatch to time the opponent

Hi Maypole, depending how silly and giddy you want to get you could give this a try,we have been playing this as a family for as long as I can remember and I'm in my thirties now and it never gets boring!
Take a bar of chocolate (mars bar ideal) wrap it like pass the parcel and put it on a table (preferably with a tray or mat under) with a knife and fork.
Get a large coat, a big hat and a large pair of gloves, a dice and a box or tray to throw it on.
Everyone throws the dice if you get a 6 you have to put all the clothes on and start to unwrap the chocolate with the knife and fork, keep the dice going shouting out the numbers, if a six is thrown you have to undress and swop, the faster the dice is passed it gets more exciting and hysterical. We have passed this on through friends and family and its the first game requested at parties! We even had 80 year old granny doing it last year!
Sorry if its a bit long winded but its good fun! The winner is the one to eat the chocolate!

When I was a kid we used to go to our family friends at Xmas and do this every year!! Absolutely hilarious and I still remember it to this day! Such a good laugh, and the more frantic you are the more hilarious it is!! :rotfl:
You're so very special, I wish I was special
