Declaring extra income

I have been offered an extra job separate to my paye employment and will be paid separately.
As it will be a few hundred a month I will have to declare to HMRC but I have no idea how to do this and where to start.
I've run my husband's contracting company via an accountant but this seems a bit steep for the few hours a week I'll be doing.
Any advice appreciated please.

You could fill in a tax return yourself (if you have the skills). If you don't have the skills, then you will have to hire an accountant.
You will have to factor in the cost of the accountant to decide whether the venture is worthwhile.0 -
Tax returns are easy.

You can have two or more PAYE employments. Income from 'an extra job' would be taxed under PAYE. Unless it isn't a job.0
