  • Round numbers are for winners :D. I love it as I’ve never had all my accounts exactly on round numbers so there is always one to add
  • Thank you. Strawberry gin has been my favourite so far
  • August is always such a busy month. I’d like to say I’ve been good and stuck to my plan ..... yeah. But my card is actually only £38 pounds up so I’ve been good at paying it off straight away more or less. However the balance is about to hopefully increase dramatically. When I logged on yesterday I noticed they were offering me 0% balance transfer so I’ve applied to BT the balance of my other card over. All 3.9k. It will be at 0% for 15 months. Looking online at my clearscore account I’m already at 100% to be accepted for other longer deals but the laziness in me went for this as I have the banking app on my phone and it’s the same bank as my current and savings accounts so it’s easier to see all in one place when wanting to make extra payments and all.

Fingers crossed it does go through okay. The money is already as a pending transaction going out. It’s fynny I feel sick and nervous about being rejected, but it’s made me realise I always used to feel this way about our money and haven’t for a good 18 maths to 2 years so even though I’m on here trying to sort our lives out it’s managable and we’ve already come a long way. This is hopefully the last leg of a long journey to be debt free and financially secure 😄
  • Balance transfer went through so new balance is 4217.61 but it’s interest free for 16 months. If I pay 263.60 a month that will clear it within that time. It’s simething to aim for at least. Not sure it will happen every month. So septembers £263.60 starts a couple of days early with a 3.60 payment only 260 to go

  • Thanks loopybecs :-). It’s given me a focused end date for this debt. There is still my car finance and loan but they are ticking away nicely in the background.

£100 paid today as it’s payday. That’s now £160 left to go this month. Once I’ve worked out how much I’ve spent on school uniforms and supplies I’ll hopefully be able to pay a bit more. I have a day off today so I will be raising my cupboards and meal planning and making lunchbox snacks.

I got last weeks food shop (which in reality also includes household cleaning products, pet food, beauty products) to £55 instead of the usual £110-120ish. But I did have to top up on bread milk cheese etc so about another £10 on top. Not sure I’ll be able to do that this week but planning certainly helps

Have a great Friday everyone the weekend is nearly here
  • £4.01 today ( to round the account to a whole number) £155.99 to go this month.

I did the food shop less than £60 again but then DC had friends round and with last minute shopping for school (the last time I let them be responsible and tell me what they need I’ve normslly got it all sorted before August starts lol, bless them ). Has blown my budget of spare money, but that is ok as all the bills, food and petrol as well as the kids clubs are still paid.

HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE order will soon be restored :-). I love the holidays but can’t for normality to return xx
  • Morning MSE world. So it appears I’m a bit rubbish at keeping my diary going. RL is just so busy, but I am still chipping away. £66.61 extra paid off in little bits and pieces since I last posted so £89.31 of this months challenge left to go. I’ve had to pay out for a few work trips so hopefully my expense claim will come in. As I’ve already adjusted the budget to cover those when they come in they’ll go straight to this. Fingers crossed intime for this months chalkenge. If not definitely will go to next months.
  • £100 paid today so this months challenge completed and I’m 10.69 ahead for next month (if my maths is correct). Now October is £10.69/£263.60 only £252.91 to go. This month will be a bit tight on the overpaying front as I’m paying my car tax £200, however I’m paying it cash and not using my cc so that I’m taking as a positive because before that is what I would have done with the intention of paying it off later in the month and never actually doing it
  • £100 paid today making it £110.69/263.60 so it’s going down had a bit of a nasty shock at the garage. My car needed over £600 of work so the savings have taken a hit. But I’m putting a positive spin in it’s another thing I would have just thrown in my credit card and never really paid off. Have a lovely day beautiful MSE world xx. :-)
