I have long hair which gets tangled in the brush on the vacuum.

What is the best way to remove this? I am using scissors to cut it but this is difficult as it is hard to get the scissors at the right angle to get lose enough to the plastic to cut, then the amount of pulling after to remove it is causing the brush to move quite a bit which I am worried will dislodge it.

I used the above method on my previous dysons and can't recall any issues with doing so but it doesn't seem to work so well on my new miele. If i remember right the dysons you could easily remove the bottom plate to get to the brush on the miele you can't do this.

Any other suggestions/easier way to deal with what must be common problem.

Thanks

You could try using a stitch-ripper to remove tangled threads/hair instead of scissors.

I used to have the same issue when I had long hair, a nit or fine toothed comb is great for loosening it.

If I can't be bothered to remove the brush of the Dyson to clean it, I use the penknife on my handbag-size (ie tiny) Swiss Army knife and slice though the hair with that.

I use a seam ripper too, really easy.
