Overpayment of salary

I was overpaid my salary for 10 months of last tax year. This is now being paid back but I am being asked to pay back everything including the tax and national insurance that I contributed. I feel like I'm paying for it twice. Does anyone know if this is correct?

Am I right in saying that your employee wants you to pay back the money overpaid before Tax and NI has been taken?Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0
