Hello everyone#this is my first thread
Am sorry if not in right post.
I have just received a letter from EGG saying that they have refunded my loan balance with £1600 after my complaint to get back PPI that I did not want to take, It certainly was more money than I thought I would get, but I was wondering if it would be wrong to actually ask for a cheque instead? I would love that kind of money right now but also its nice to pay off loan quicker. Would that be an acceptable request to ask them?
Thanks

I am better than no-one but no-one is better than me.

I've popped your post over to the Loans board where PPI is being discussed. I'm thinking that as they have already refunded the monies to your loan account that it might be too late to ask for a cheque but I see no harm in asking.0

If they were to do that they might have to open a new loan which might or might not be offered at the same rate as your present loan.
As previous poster said if you don't ask you don't get.0 -
Well done in getting it back in whatever form!
I'm still arguing with the Halifax over about £2K of PPI which accrued over 6 years and was apparently ticked in an applicaiton form which isn't even in my handwriting! I'm happy to go to the press over my case as I believe there are a number of flaws with the way that they have dealt with this - not least in not sending me copies of the terms and conditions of the insurance agreement.
It's great hearing stories of people getting their premiums back - well done!Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
get the loan paid off quicker works for me :-)0
