Round here, on this forum, it is ten cheers in admiration if you go sick, as a way to 'fixing problems', I do believe. So really how is that better behaviour.
.
I generally ignore your posts. But I'm going to call you out on this assertion. Virtually nobody here suggests going off sick as a way of solving problems. Quite the contrary - most people point out that going off sick is the worst way of solving problems because it doesn't work; and that sickness absence leads to dismissal! By all means continue to randomly ramble about your opinions on posts here, but do not tell lies about the rest of the people here. You have no right to say that we applaud people going off sick. It is not true.0 -
whoever gave you the advice about having a degree and stealing management jobs gave you the most ridiculous advice ever.
Good Management doesnt necessarily require a degree. (unless required for a specific reason)
I have a first class honours degree, my boss has a third. I couldn't do his job. (he couldnt do mine either as it is specialist but he can manage me!) It's how skills complement each other that works.0 -
hey
Your situation is not that bad - just a bit disappointing. I guess you are learning some harsh lessons about life. Try to find some friends in the world of work to chat things over with. I'm sure they can help you consider the best ways forwards.
At least you are well paid and don't dislike what you are doing. The management sound a bit sucky. I'd keep my head down and hope for a break where you are while looking for graduate positions elsewhere. Show your maturity by not doing or saying anything foolish - its amazing how often people go back to old employers when the right job is available.0 -
Not clear if you looked before or after, but either way, that's very poor practice and not a good sign of your character. But I remember the interviewer leaving the room for five minutes and I took a glance at one of his sheets for the criteria of a presentation and did everything it said on there. Still got graded 1/5
In the end, it comes down to two things, they don't like you as a whole because they don't think you fit in the roles you want to go for, for whatever reason, or you have an inflated sense of your abilities.
If the former, there isn't much you can do but look for another job and put it down to bad luck. If the latter, you do need to reflect on your attitude and behaviour and whether there are elements that you need to adjust. Unfortunately, some people won't waste their energy giving your feedback, others do, but only if they believe it will actually be listened to.0
