PPI claim on old loan

I had an old loan that was completed a few years ago, which I'd like to check if I had paid PPI on.

I have written to the company concerned and they have provided me with a statement/acc number etc.

Now I've no idea what the next step is. Can anyone suggest the next step, do I contact them again asking them, do i go through someone else?
Thanks in advance

So did you have PPI on the loan or not ?

If you didn`t, hard luck, move on.

If you did, then write back, make an official complaint, asking for a refund of all premiums paid plus interest charged, and statutory interest @ 8% per anum.

State the reasons why the product was not suitable for you, ie, you were not made aware you even had ppi, you did not ask for it in the first place, PPI would only pay out for 12 months, when your loan was 48 months etc etc.

Most lenders websites have specific forms you fill in for all PPI reclaims, check that out first.
