    It’s much bigger than that though is it, you can buy cups anywhere.

    I want to see how they handle the busy times when they just use paper cups. Also it’s funny the aren’t doing this in the US where it’s always take away and if you ask for a normal one you get an odd look.

    They gave away free mugs about a month ago :)


    However, I didn't like the 5p charge, not because it's only 5p, but because the barista charged it without mentioning it. At least with a carrier bag you knew they were going to cost 5p before visiting a supermarket :)

    You can use any branded or refillable mug in any brand of coffee shop.

    I can't see 5p being enough to make a difference, given the cost of Starbucks' drinks.

    With how many Starbuck's there are, and how many they sell, 5p per drink would make a massive difference to their income. They will probably push for you to use disposable as a result.
