Not sure you got the point, so I’ll repeat it.
Yes those courses existed but 30 years ago it was a minority that went to uni so ANY degree showed capability and meant most could get a good job and onto the career ladder if they wanted.
Nowadays everyone has a degree (ok 50%) so it’s not a differentiator, we also have more immigration, so getting a good job is much harder.
So 30 years ago an arts degree was probably useful and now it probably isnt (of course there are always exceptions which is why I say probably).0 -
