Hi Y'all,
I'm looking for a lender that will give me the facility to view my mortgage on the internet via internet banking.I want to be able to see an up to date statement on line and the remaining term, interest rate etc.Anyone one know of any?

I`m with First Direct. I have a mortgage with them and a majority of my other accounts as its an `offset`.
Well laid out site with statements available on line for all my accounts including my mortgage.
There is also a mortgage calculator that you can tinker with should you wish to overpay etc.0 -
My Nationwide mortgage is viewable online. 2 year Fixed rate.
It has interest rates payable, history of statements, how much you owe - updated daily maybe (i don't check those accounts daily).
has redemption date as well I think.

What would be the deciding factor for you when looking at a mortgage - would it be the facility to look on-line, or would it be rate driven.

I think many offset mortgages have this facility. But, as herbiesjp says, we need to understand your requirements. For example, offset mortgages often have a higher interest rate compared with the "best" rates, so you may pay more for the convenience to look online.Warning ..... I'm not too worried about the int rate as my mortgage balance is under £60K, but it is a shared ownership property so I am restricted to a few lenders that lend on shared ownership. But the main remortgaging factor is the ability to view the mortgage online. I've checked out Abbey and that doesnt look too bad, I just need to see if they will entertain shared ownership...0

Yes they do shared ownership up to 95% Loan To Value of your share.
Someone mentioned that Nationwide can also show Online statements. If that is the case, they also do Shared Ownership if that helps you.I am a Mortgage Adviser

Nationwide certainly do shared ownership, I bought mine in 1995 with a 25% share,( funny that Gordon Brown seems to have just invented shared ownership) when GB did away with peps I used the proceeds to buy(deposit) the other 75%. Nationwide online is excellent and they have some really good deals at the moment, I'm just changing my mortgage with them to a tracker, you don't now have to pay a reservation fee which makes them very good value, even on £60K you'll save plenty.0
