Due to the amount of trolls here and realising some friends on social media may not have kind reactions to talking about your business i am looking to join a new forum that fits the requirement in the thread title. One where you can get good advice and support whenever issues occur.

Do you not think you are setting yourself up ever so slightly for the predictable responses now likely heading this way?
Or was that the aim?All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Indeed.
1. It is insulting to those posters who actually take time out of their day to offer good advice.
2. Good luck finding an internet forum which doesn't have their own version of "troll" :rotfl:
OP, keep us updated! I recommend you start a blog/vlog which documents your quest to find said forum.0 -

I guess its wishful thinking. There are well intentioned social media groups but they often have very little activity plus your friends see whats discussed if its not a private group. As government propoganda has done a good job on people the last thing that is needed is people i know making unkind judgments.0 -
As you suggest, you may find yourself in something of a Catch 22 situation. Closed groups are likely to have comparatively few members and therefore limited feedback. Open groups will be able to provide a wealth of information but are also accessible to trolls. Even closed groups get trolls, they're just easier to get rid of there.0

People are people, and any place is likely to have about the same proportion of genuine posters, trolls and lurkers. The other option is to go for the queues and limited resources of somewhere like Citizen's Advice. But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

Okay so here we have:
A) Trolls. Easy to spot, easy to ignore. Will be pointed out by B and C.
B ) people giving you the answers you dont want, often labelled as trolls, but not trolls.
C) people who give sound and factual advice
D) people who pander to people, give sympathy, but dont actually help.
These people are present on all forums.0 -
Its pretty bad on mse. I get issues from the same few people. I have made the mistake of talking about myself on occasion which helps them build a picture which allows them to get more directly personal. One even managed to find my facebook profile. They are all still here and allowed to do all this. That is why i prefer the idea of a different forum where i can be fully anonymous. I ask questions on social media groups and i often dont get any replies. I just have some questions related to universal credit. I dont get it but may do in the near future.0

I can recall some of your previous posts about working/not working/entitlement to benefits. I have to be honest, even if you're anonymous then if you're posting the same sorts of things on another forum then you're going to get the same responses as you do on here. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

OP
I feel the only way you are going to get advice without trolling is in one of two ways
1) take Marliepandas advice and try the CAB
2) pay a professionalFind out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0
