free ladybird books with Daily Mirror.Have u had any ?

This has been an offer going on through the Daily Mirror and Somerfield newspaper.
1 free coupon a day per free book.

BUT! yesterday and the day before my local Somerfield said they'd not had any delivered at all :mad:

I tried a somerfield and they had none.... I have now chucked most of the coupons and realised that I could just send them off and get the books anyway....:eek: :eek: :eek: that will teach me to read the small print

im really annoyed about this as i so wanted them for my daughter,i remember all of them when i was a kid,and just seeing them brings back memories...
no somerfield around here,and couldnt be bothered to go to paper shop every day to buy the mirror,dont you have to pay postage to send off for them?

Yeap - collect all 10 tokens and then send £5.99 take about 28 days to deliver - as you can see am collecting them. Which now reminds me to go and get paper. Thankyou!!

They seem to be paperback copies anyway - with the "mirror" logo on the front. At £5.99 for 10 they're costing you 60p each.

It's probably better value to actually buy the stories that you want in normal ladybird hardback - they're usually about £1.50 each - but sometimes you can find them for 90p each

Guess i'll have missed out then - cos i was using the coupon for the books i fancied getting - and Somerfield didnt disappoint until last 2 days!! If it happens again tmorrow, I shant bother again..

I went to my local Somerfield about an hour after it had opened and they claimed all the books had gone, although I could clearly see copies under one of the counters, probably being saved for staff and their families. I decided not to bother after that. I was annoyed though because I was hoping to collect them for my daughter.

I was collecting these vouchers too, went to Somerfield in Liverpool religiously every day on my way to work at 8.10 am (no problems at all), got all the first weeks books then on Saturday we went to Scotland for the weekend. Couldn't find a Somerfield on the Sunday but on the way home in Eddleston I found one on the Monday, went to the customer services desk and she gave me the full weeks set and couldn't understand why I had to pick one up daily as they gave the first weeks in one go and the 2nd weeks in one go, so people who live nearby only had to buy 2 papers instead of the 12. Why can't all the Somerfield stores do that?
