Edit - I've Googled and see it now. That's quite unbelieveable. You paid £4.99 for a button that orders beer. One brand of beer. And nothing else. What's wrong with ordering it on their website?! Or going to a shop and actually buying it?
Human laziness (and ability to part with cash) knows no bounds.
They're actually quite handy - I have one in my pantry next to my coffee pods. When you take the last pod, you press the button and, hey presto, the next day fresh supplies arrive. Yes, I could take out my phone and launch the app, search for the pods, selected the correct variety, order, pay - but the Dash allows me to do it with minimum effort right there during the moment (i.e. when its front and foremost on my mind that I need to re-order). And as it works out as free... its very MSE!0 -

Maybe actually read up about things before you go on an absurd rant.0 -
OP - I've had a similar experience.
I'm a Prime member and I ordered a camera tripod early one day and it said "order before xxx for next day delivery" and the xxx was counting down with a fair few hours to go.
I tracked the order and early the next day, it said it had been dispatched and was with a courier (Hermes) for delivery.
Hermes usually deliver the same time each day (around 1400) for us but there was nothing.
I tracked the order again and by early evening, I received an email stating that there had been a delay in dispatching the item but it would be with Hermes the next day which it then was, delivered around 1400.0 -
For your information @Supersonos, I paid £1.99 for this in the Prime Sale. You then get a £4.99 off the first order.
I purchased this for my dad who, for all you know, might not be as privileged as you and have access to a computer. OR he may have disabilities which would make the button easier in his life.
You just don't know do you. So how about think before you comment.
The thread wasn't "let's tear someone for buying a product", it was a question regarding the delivery. Get over yourself.0 -

I spoke to Amazon about it all and they apologised, explained that it was possibly to do with stock in certain distribution centres and provided me with a 5GBP promotional credit.
I've had delivery issues in the past, whereby you can usually get your Prime extended 30 days for the inconvenience, which I don't think is too bad either... A month of free deliveries for one minor inconvenience.0 -
Thanks for that info gr_96. I've only just started using Amazon seriously so I'll put my experience down to a one off glitch but if it happens again, I will complain. Is there a particular procedure or button to click or is it just a case of emailing them?0

A quick google search of 'Amazon live chat UK' gets you to the right page. You then select the order in question, select 'where is my stuff?' from the drop down and then ask to chat online. Explain that it hasn't arrived etc. then ask for some comp. They tend to give a 30 day prime extension, but it could vary. Explain your frustration etc. and they're good for that.0

And do it once too often and your account will be closed.0 -
Incorrect.
They can’t close your account because of their inability to stick to a promise/service you’ve paid for!!!128514;!!0
