Good money for that age, plus he can leave whenever he wants. For a 16 year old, does he really need anything more?

He'll be covered for both - it is quite obvious that he isn't self employed.

Maybe, but if he's not on the books, i.e. under the table, then his employers liability could well not extend to cover personal injury/damage to a customer's car. I'd want to reassured if I were the parent.

My understanding is that the employee does not claim against the employers insurance - the employee claims against the employer. If they have insurance (as they must) the employer then claims against the insurance, if they don't it is the employer who is out of pocket and in very hot water, not the employee.

He's 16. Too young to sign a legal document.

I know somebody that owns a hand car wash and has contracts at various vehicle manufacturers. He employs in the region of forty staff, all Romanian

They are all paid cash. None do a tax return, hell most can't read or write letalone speak English

One showed me a payslip once. For the week it said she had worked twenty hours. She worked seven days that week and a good nine hours a day. She was paid in cash correctly for what she had worked but the payslip was dodgy. Somebody said it's so she can claim benefits still

The owner, he has two houses
