EXSISTING CCJ- help please

My OH has a ccj against a £700 debt with great universal catalogue, it is now owned by GPB solicitors, she was originally paying £10 a month but financial difficulty led her to obtain a variation order to pay £1 a month.
She has a recieved notification that the debt has been passed onto another company, she is now worried that the new company will ask her for more money.
Can they do this?

They can ask, but thats all they can do. If she can't afford to pay more, then don't, no point getting into more financial trouble trying to pay off a debt because of pushy DCA's. Just make sure she stands her ground and doesn't get intimidated by them, and offer to provide an income/outgoings sheet if needed to prove there's no spare income.

Thanx for that, she was paying the original tenner up untill a few months ago when GPB started getting rather intimidating with phone calls and letters, so she thought paying the pound would really cheese them off, for them to pass the debt on it must have worked :rotfl:

That may not be entirely clever. How much is she supposed to pay under the conditions set by the CCJ? She needs to meet those.
