A pretty pointless report because on my local line a 'leaf fall' timetable is issued each year simply so that the trains don't have to be cancelled as they are never scheduled to run.

For comparison, how many cancellations are caused by strike action, by poor implementation of new timetables, or by lack of staff for other reaeons (all of which are arguably more under control of the operators)?

New timetable, lack of roling stock, lack of trained staff to operate rolling stock, lack of staff with new route knowledge have had a far biggerimpact in the last 2 months than I have experineced from weather over the last 30 years of using the rail services.
