What are you complaining about? That they won't lend you their money due to you being up to your eyeballs in debt?
I'm asking a question, to get an answer. This is a computer giving an answer which the halifax mortgage adviser was as irritated as we where in the result. Am I up to my eyeballs in dept? i'm not asking for something which I can't easily afford to pay.... after all, up to 2 years ago my mortgage repayments were over £600 per month.

You're missing my point, they'll accept dla you get for someone else. My son's dla has just been used for our nationwide mortgage
This is the basis of my query, is this just a Halifax policy or should the mortgage adviser have included it as income. This is why I made a complaint, to get a second opinion.
