without prejudice ?

Hi, I just received an email from BWlegal telling me that I have an outstanding amount due, but they will offer me 80% discount, without prejudice, if i can pay it within the next couple of months, it was from a payday express loan nearly 5 years ago.It does say my credit file would be marked as fully satisfied. Should I pay, or ignore? what do they mean by without prejudice? and would it still show up on my credit report?
thanks for any help

When they say "without prejudice" it means that this offer is not changing their rights to the full debt, i.e. they are not actually reducing the debt you owe, but are making an offer to settle it. Mainly it means if you reject the offer and they continue action that can go after the full amount again and you can't say "hang on, you said it had dropped to 80%" because it hasn't.(Although I could be wrong, I often am.)0
