Hi all, I have been considering purchasing an I.P. for some time, I live alone, retired, and have 2 slow cookers, steamer, halogen oven, George Foreman, plus the usual micro wave and of course a normal cooker, gave away an air frier and a tefal 47/42 in 1, but I do like all the gadgets, so took the plunge on Prime day and bought the C.P.E. at what I thought was a good price, seems to do as much as an I.P. for a lesser price, quite happy with it.
I cooked some hard boiled eggs first simple try, yesterday saute setting for my pork chop and then placed some cauli in one of those "rose"steamer baskets, added some water, and set it to steam 2 minutes, n.r. for longer than I intended, ended up 8 mins and the cauli was very soft, so pay more attention to that in future, pork chop was very good, cooked through and tender not dry, the juices remaining in pot would have made a tasty gravy if I wanted to.
Any other newbies/experienced users out there with tips and hints, must have accessories etc, my finger has hovered twice to buy a steamer basket but wanted to try the rose thing first, found it difficult to remove but adequate, might work with more practice but will probably get the basket.

Do I need it or just want it.

Pam somewhere among the threads there are at least two threads concerning IP and other similar gadgets . There was helpful feedback .
I managed to find one a while ago to bump for another poster but no idea where to start today .
I'm waiting patiently for the new IP to appear after it went on sale in the US . I would be interested in whether your new Crockpot has a ceramic liner . I don't want non stick coating but either ceramic or stainless steel .
