    The OP works 3 weeks and three weeks of. That’s half a year. Therefore their time of is taken as part of the 3 weeks because they are working long hours when actually working - but don’t work 52 weeks of the year. Therefore they take their holidays during their 3 weeks on shore. They specify to boss which are holiday weeks.

    Teaching Assistants can ONLY take (holiday) time outside of term time.

    3 weeks on and 3 weeks off is not half a year. If you read the OP they do 84 hours a week whilst off shore, so 252 hours every 6 weeks (3 on and 3 off) which averages 42 hours a week over the 6 weeks.

    Please can you put a disclaimer on any future posts you make that you do not know what you are talking about.

    GreenTreen - you are saying that you are only expressing an opinion, but then saying that your opinion is what the law says. You can't have it both ways. But you are wrong. Seasonal workers have a specific definition - teaching assistants are employees, and there is nothing seasonal about them! Please be aware, as you have already been told, that the rubbish you claim to be the law is dangerous. If you want to give an opinion, do so. But don't tell people that what you are saying is the law. You have no knowledge of the law, and clearly no knowledge of this type of employment. It's only a very few days ago that you were posting your own problems with employment - issues that are very basic "employment law 101". If you needed to ask those questions, then you are not experienced or knowledgeable enough to be telling other people about employment law. Everyone can make mistakes. It's complex and it's a huge field. But in 38 posts, your contributions have consisted of asking a few questions that shouldn't have needed asking, followed by every subsequent post advising people being wrong! You have been pulled up and corrected multiple times. By multiple people. On multiple threads. Please be aware of the danger that you pose to people who follow your advice, sorry "opinion"...
