Hello all

can someone guide i need few examples for the following or please guide me:

Competencies
We'll assess you against these competencies during the selection process:

In no more than 250 words, please can you describe a situation when you have worked in a team to achieve a common goal

In no more than 250 words, please tell me about a time when you had to complete a large volume of work within a tight timescale

In no more than 250 words, please me about a time when you had to communicate with a range of people and how do you ensure your communication is tailored and clear?

I'm really not clear on what help you think others can give you. They are asking for your real-life examples for these competencies. If we provide examples which aren't relevant to you, you will fall flat on your face when asked to expand on the situation during the interview.

Im just after few examples . like if someone has a background in admin or secretary role

What anyone else has done in an admin or secretarial role is totally irrelevant. What have YOU done in your admin or secretarial roles which would demonstrate that you are competent in the areas that they are testing.

If, after really thinking about all of the things that you have done throughout your life as part of a team, under time pressures or having to find ways to get someone to understand your point, you genuinely don't have any suitable examples of your own then you probably don't have the transferable skills that they are looking for so this job is not for you.

OP I'm getting the impression that you've applied for a job that you're not really suited for I'm afraid.

Why is this such a common theme? I would be happy to go and do the interview for the OP, provided I get the job and the salary to go with it... But I ain't you, OP.

Also bear in mind that the situations don't have to be directly related to a work environment. For example, working together could be a team sport of some kind, and communicating clearly might be a training programme you created and getting the 'what' and the 'why'across to the rest of the group.

Q1 - there looking at your team working skills, how well you work with others, listening skills and what you contributed.

Q2 - again there looking at specifics, time management and organisational skills, possibly strategies to manage workload.

Q3 - basically communication skills, remember this means written and verbal, how do you adapt your style to the situation and person or people you are communicating with, also consider body language, tone and purpose.

Examples can come from work and jobs you have held in the past, personal situations, charity and voluntary work as well as education for example school/college/university.

Unfortunately you will need to describe these examples demonstrating you possess the skills mentioned and showing where you have used them.
