Missed call

I always get paranoid when I have a missed call but they left a blank voicemail and the number can't call back or connect when I try to ring.


Safe to say it's a telemarketer?


Number is 020 0616 8464 if anyone else has had a call?

If I try to call back and it's a number that you can't connect to I always assume it's a spam call (sorry). I had one myself too today from 020 0870 8737.

As CLI can be faked, the number displayed on screen cannot be relied upon to be genuine. Scammers change the displayed number each time they call so as to avoid dumb call blockers that block solely on presented CLI.

Never call back to missed calls from UK numbers starting 076, 084, 087, 090, 091 or 098. Discretion advised for other numbers. If the number is faked you may get a "number doesn't exist" message or you may just disturb the day of the genuine owner of the number who will have no idea their number has been spoofed by fraudsters. Your call to them will itself have become a nuisance call.

Just put the number into Google and it will reveal the scammers for you.
I never phone anybody back from messages left on my phone unless its one I recognise.
