Computeractive has teamed up with Packard Bell to offer two lucky readers a Media Center PC. The iXtreme Gold 2106 has an Intel Pentium 4 processor running at 3.2GHz with 1Gb of memory. There is 400Gb of hard disk space to store all your recorded programmes, and a 40Gb external hard disk is included to make it easy to share files with friends.
There's also a dual-layer recordable DVD drive for more permanent backups, and graphics are taken care of by an ATI Radeon 9550 card. Getting images from a digital camera is easy with the 12-in-1 memory card reader.
A digital TV tuner is built into the iXtreme which can pause live television and display an electronic programme guide from the internet for quickly and easily recording individual programs or entire series. A large, 19in flat-screen monitor provides easy viewing.
