I think the biggest shock will be with interest rises. Lots of people have gotten used to relatively low interest payments and not considered a rise in their budgeting. This could have a knock on effect.0

The trouble with the debate boards is they are dominated by a small but very vociferous group of posters who are very heavily invested in property (both financially and emotionally) so you don't really tend to get a balanced debate or impartial opinion.0

Yep, and Brexit is shaping up to be "disorderly" as well?0 -

Yes, I think the "debate" board is only there to give posters who can`t be civil to people who state the obvious - Houses are too expensive - a place to rant away to half a dozen or so posters who share the same views about "Renters", "Crash-Trolls" etc. It`s a bit like the scene in Cujo where the dog is so maddened by the disease eating away at it that it just runs head first into the car and expects something to happen, nobody really cares and economic reality will eventually assert itself anyway0 -

where as this board is dominated by one person not invested in property, still unable to grasp it was the biggest financial mistake they have ever made and is an emotional wreck.0 -

Aaah, fond memories of brit1234's prediction of 50% drop by Christmas 2009.
We don't see that wise old owl much on here any more.
Perhaps he finally grew a pair, and bought0 -
LOL @ brit1234. That's what happens if you mistake crashtrolls for thoughtful commentators.
I wonder by what date Crashy think prices will be 130% down? He's badly out of pocket if they don't fall that far.0
