When she does, then that will be your opportunity to take the opportunity to take her to court and ruin her credit rating.
I don't blame you for doing this. In the same boat, I would too.bertiewhite wrote: »I'm with Poppasmurf - she'll slip up at some time - some people can't help themselves, especially on social media.
So get yourself back on it - you don't have to post everything about yourself, just watch & wait.
Are her Mum & Nan near to you? I bet she'll visit at sometime and one day you'll just happen to be driving past
Ha I have thought about running into her outside her mum's quite often... not sure if I am patient enough to wait until she shows up on social media! She's also careful not to let anything slip there so doubt I'd find her address.Apologies I missed your reply.
I don't think anyone is wanting you to go into the particulars, Im certainly not.
OK great. I've found the information I was looking for so I guess it will be up to the court to decide on all that anyway. I will post back to the forum with an update. Thank you for your help.0 -
Even if went to court and the judge awarded you to receive the payment, there is no guarantee it will be paid to you - she could feign all sorts of hardship etc - and in the end, you have wasted a lot of your time for no joy.0

Why haven't you had a chat with the Police? It's theft. You can take her to the small claims court too.0

Yep she might or she might pay, who knows unless I take it to court>CakeCrusader wrote: »Why haven't you had a chat with the Police? It's theft. You can take her to the small claims court too.
Why assume I haven't? I did the week after she went AWOL and it was obvious she wasn't going to pay me, he said it wasn't theft or fraud with the evidence I have at the moment. Part of the reason why I would like to go to small claims court is I would hope it would give me more evidence to give to the police...0 -
Moneyclaim.co.uk lists the costs of taking her to court, if you do choose to go through the process, just send the pre-action letter, then the claim form to her last known address, that is all you need to do.
You will most likely win by default, at that point, you can engage HCEO`s to enforce the CCJ against her, info here :

It costs £66 to transfer up to the high court, they then, at your instruction, trace the debtor for you, and she then gets a knock on the door at 7am.
This is the best way of getting your money back, you must transfer it up to the high court, otherwise she will most likely just keep on ignoring you.
