re the car tax savings. each month save any coins 20p or below in a tin (lockable if you need it to be) at the end of the month count it out and pop to the post office. they sell car tax stamps in £5 denominations that can be redeemed when it comes to taxing your car. Off to tax mine as soon as i feel better and have about 30 squid off the price for coins i never missed.

To the squirrel from the rabbit. I thought that about Alsont Towers. It is a tourism thing. They were supposed to check the queues etc. Sounded more like a jolly to me. Seem DD just made stuff up between rides. Yes I agree it is not at all voluntary is it.
Pania. Well done . Do you know I used to do that years ago. Save the stamps. I din't know I could still do it. It is a better idea for me than just trying to save the money. Well done saving towards it. And yew I do need a lockable tin. Everyone in the house just raids my jar for coppers when they need something. It is currently empty. I discovered my DS has a FULL change jar in his bedroom. May have to raid his now.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:
