Car Finance 24/7 - Changing the car

Hi I need your help - I have just taken out car finance with car finance 24/7.
I was authorised £10k and had a choice of two cars, upon picking the car up (3 days ago) I realise I've chosen the wrong one as this car has no Bluetooth or capability to connect to phone or satnav and has a dint in the passenger door. The dealer was surprised at this when I took the car as well and asked me to keep him informed.

The other car has a capability to Bluetooth and sat nav if paid to local Audi dealer extra which I'm willing to do.

Where do I stand - I think I have read about a 14 day cooling off period for the finance but I don't want to cancel the finance, I just want to change the car? Am I in my rights to do that or not? I imagine the car garage I bought the car from won't want to return the finance for the car, will they? (The other car was from a different garage).

What does the contract say about the situation ?

Did you ask for bluetooth capabilties as a requirement ?
How did you not notice this before you drove away ?

Thanks for your response - I did notice that it didn't have bluetooth or anything but it had the sat nav button and phone button but it said it wasn't set up and to speak to an Audi dealer - so I took the car and the car garage (not an audi garage) said to let him know what happens.I've since phoned two Audi garages who have said that the car cannot be altered to get sat nav or Bluetooth or phone compatible.

I've not seen anything about changing the car NOT the finance in the finance contracts - I'm just getting the documents I signed in the car garage to look through them - Ive looked and I havent anything as it was on the screen online in the showroom?

What's the exact Audi model and model year? I have a fair knowledge of the brand so may be able to help. I know the A1 has a Sat-nav than can be activated via the SD card slot for example. There is also other third party hardware that can allow things like BT music streaming.

Isn't Car Finance 24/7 a sub-prime loan company? Have you looked at other options, rather than taking on what I presume is a very high interest loan on a high depreciating asset?

Thank you - Yes Car finance 24/7 was my only option. they have been very helpful - I'm waiting for them to get back to me.

The car is an Audi A1 TDI SE 3 door 2015 Reg - with the basic steering wheel with no buttons.

Oh OK, yea you won't be able to activate Sat-Nav on a SE trim. It requires the head unit with the 2 SD card slots on the front, which the SE trim won't have IIRC.

As an aside, how many miles do you drive, and what sort of driving do you typically do...? Is it mainly motorways or town driving?

The car and the finance are 2 separate transactions.

You should be able to cancel the finance and hopefully the broker will arrange finance on the other car instead.

However, if the car dealer didn't lie about what was included and you didn't check properly before you bought it, you are relying on the good will of them to let you swap. Is it Audi approved used? They might have a 30 day return policy you can take advantage of.
