Morning all
Just wrote a long post and lost it, but here's the main points.
Not much "door" work happened yesterday because....
"Nice" Dad arrived before lunch clutching a fresh chicken and some strawberries. He stayed for the football and then tea.
Joan had an episode as "dirty Gertie" was going to kill her, had to use all my skills to calm her down. Obviously the new medication isn't working
Fell over my own feet again. Mr Fix It tried to catch me but caught me by my bad wrist and also wrenched my should in the process . Still in agony on my left side but taking painkillers, so will be as high as a kite for most of the day
.
Dniece arrived at 7.30 with her DS and DD in tow, as DS needed us to sort out his CV. He is trying to get a summer job while he waits to start college in September. It was an easy fix as at 16 he hasn't "done" much to write about. All gone home by 10pm.
Today I have prepped the veg for lunch which will be roast pork etc and Mr Fix It is at present fitting the door handle. Dad will be back today too so I am cooking lunch and that's it. I shall be on strike if anyone wants anything else :rotfl:
I shall send hugs to all and healing vibes to the poorly.
I hope normal ( ish ) service will be resumed tomorrow.
Take care all

Good afternoon everyone,
It is hot, hot, hot here today - even the birds are too enervated to sing :rotfl: Hopefully the lbs are dropping off as too hot to eatHad toast & German plum jam about 20 mins ago
Sending healing vibes & hugs to all those who need them, especially to the misters.
Having yet another day of barely doing anything just washing up & general tidying & trying to get a tan on my rather flabby legs:rotfl: The decluttering has come to a standstill as I am awaiting a call from my local cs re date for a collection of furniture which will free up some space.
Quick question - does anyone have any tips for getting rid of cold sores? without resorting to spending money?
Wishing everyone a good afternoon

Mrs SD dab with aftershave if you have some kicking around or witch hazel.
The weather is gorgeous but very tiring I have just had a short nap for an hour, and feel a lot better, obviously a 'siesta' time works when its warm.
I normally couldn't sleep in the afternoon but I did some knitting and watched a movie, and thought Hmm I'll just have a lie down on top of the bed for five minutes and went out like a light
I am now just getting ready to go to DD's for a BBQ as its far too hot to cook in her kitchen when the weather is this hot.
I certainly feel so much brighter after my short sleep.
Your poor Mum Gers will they let you take a small fan in for her in the ward perhaps,it can't be good for anyone to be without ventilation in this weather, even shops and factories have to have some fresh air circulating.
Hope everyone is keeping hydrated with lots of cold water or cups of tea
Cheers chums

JackieO, yes I think it was that one. I was going to say that I thought you were there but I wasn't certain.0
