Using my home as a holiday let

Hello lovely people. My husband and I have recently moved by the seaside and are hoping to use our home as a holiday let.
Any tips both from those doing the same or those who have rented holiday homes would be greatly appreciated.
I’d really like to make our place a great place to visit while not breaking the bank, obviously
Thank you in advance.

I presume you're au fait with the local regulations/rules re any holiday lets - different counties have different rules, such as inspections or licenses or limits etc.
Are you planning on living in your shed while you rent your house out? That happens a lot where I used to live... whole families would live in their shed in the garden in the 6 weeks' holidays.0 -
:rotfl: Now there’s an idea, if only we had a shed! No, we’re planning to spend some time in Spain renting an apartment. There’s a high demand for holiday lets where we are so worth doing even with factoring in the expenses we would have.
We’ll go through a letting agent so the house will be managed for us.
No problem with local authorities or permissions just extra insurance to sort out.0
