Help please! Money less than stated in post?

Hi all, I’ve won this prize which I’m really pleased with however when I’ve received confirmation the money is £250, not £500 as stated in this post. I’m just wondering if the original amount stated is a mistake or if they changed it or if there’s anyway to find out.

£250 is great but won’t get us far on hotels in New Hork, £500 night have covered it! Thanks everyone

When you click into it, It does say £250 spending money not £500.

The title on the forum could simply be wrong, perhaps the poster assumed it was £250 each, therefore £500 in total but whatever is stated on the forum, right or wrong amount, it has no official connection to the competition (although I am a little surprised, that if it was clearly £250 in total and not £500, that someone who entered it did not point it out)

Yes I’m surprised too, which is why I wondered if maybe the prize money had been changed for whatever reason. It’s a bit of a strange mistake.

The post on THIS SITE is dated 18th June and says £250
