Hi All
Has anyone been able to reclaim PPI for a loan taken out with Premier Portfolio back in the 80's?
Apparently, they were bought out around the mid 90's and I was wondering if anyone had any information about who might be responsible for their accounts now (mine finished around the time of their selling off)
Thanks!

I checked this forum for Premier Portfolio and there are zero results beyond yours. Google only found 284 results for "Premier Portfolio PPI" and yours is the first result and the rest are fairly irrelevant beyond the firm being taken over by Avco Trust who also vanished.
Given the age and type of lender it's highly likely to be a firm who wasn't regulated and so could dismiss the complaint anyway so I'd give up on this one as I doubt you ever have paperwork that proves you paid it even if you could find someone to complain to and could prove you were miss-soldSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
