Neighbours' dormer windows

Thanks everyone. I rang the council and they have said to send an e-mail detailing everything and they will get back to me.
It is a rear dormer, but like I said the garden is very small and so will be overlooking my garden on the left hand side.
And whilst, no, I don't think they will be spying on me in my garden, it still not nice to be overlooked and whilst I am not against them having a dormer window, if the rules say it needs to be obscured, then that is what I will request. That way they will still get light and don't need to be looking onto my garden.
I suppose another factor in my thinking is when I come to sell the property and if this will affect it in any way.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

But as has already been said, if the dormer is on the rear elevation and not to the side, it doesn't fall within the rules that say it must be obscured.0 -

We weren't allowed to have dormers at the front of our house.0
