Land Registry - easement application

Sixth Anniversary First Post Combo Breaker

We have a sale agreed on a property. The owner is applying for easement for the soak away from the septic tank which traverses the neighbour’s lane by about 10 feet. It should be very straightforward. We’ve been told however that it can take a while for the Land Registry to process such. Would anyone have an estimate of how long it might take.....is it weeks or months...?
