Stocks and mortgage application

Hi,
I am aware that most banks require 3 months of statements for a mortgage, I earn roughly 2k net per month - clean credit history and solid outgoings (rent council tax phone bills, 200 monthly isa payment etc). and had circa 7k disposable income.. as a one off I decided to invest 2500 in stocks recently.... will this have a negative effect on my application or should I wait for 3 months for it to 'disappear'?
Will they ask to see my investing account statement?
Thanks

I doubt they will ask to see the statement if you are not using it for the deposit or as evidence of income.
You might get an anal lender/underwriter but I would say there is a 99% chance that it will result in nothing more than a "what is this transaction" and that being the end of it.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
