Refund or Voucher acceptable

I recently had a bad experience on Eurostar, in short on a full train the seat I was allocated was very wet and smelly, (hate to think what the actual cause was. didnt notice until sat on it ! the train staff had put a small sticker on the head rest to indicate the seat was not in use, but struggling with luggage on a full train i just sat down to get out of the way of other travellers, I complained to the train manager, customer services and CEO office on my return, but all they offered was an e-voucher for another one way journey.
as I am not happy with this compensation (after an actual refund) I have passed this to London Travelwatch (as suggested by Eurostar)
Am i right to want a refund and possibly compensation to cover the whole poor experience, or is an evoucher for another journey i probably wont take acceptable

To determine whether you are due a full refund, it would be helpful if you could state
* whether you actually completed the journey
* whether you spoke to the train manager/conductor immediately and what their response was at the time
* whether you were given another seat or stayed in the smelly seat
* whether you had additional expenses, e.g. dry-cleaning0
