Hi all,
So me and my husband are first time buyers and im just an anxious cookie so doing as much research as i can to see if our mortgage application will get approved.
We have a broker and they have applied for the mortgage with leedsBS.
The house is worth 134,995 (New build property, we will be doing HTB).
We have applied for the HTB. So it would be a LTV of 75%
Our yearly income is around £34k in total.
We did have a number of credit accounts/card and we paid all this off a month ago using money we received from a car accident.
The only debt we now have is car finance and a halifax loan (Was used to pay for a car)- so both cars come to a total of £380pcm that's with around £18-19k in total owed.
We also have mobile phone contracts and insurances.
Prior to the money for the car crash we were using our planned overdraft regularly, I have cancelled my overdraft and my husband has reduced his to £50. We were also previously renting but have now moved in with parents so we can save for the deposit.
In January, i missed 1 payment on a very account due to just forgetting about it with Christmas etc. I made an agreement with very on how to pay this back and when i have looked on my credit file it just shows it as an agreement was in place, it isn't showing as a default etc. Other than that, i don't think we have ever missed a payment on anything.
My worry was just that we have been in out overdrafts consequitively and the very payment.
Can anyone tell me if they think we have a good enough application etc please.
Thanks In Advance

We got accepted by Leeds bs recently.
We have a joint income of about 38k credit card debt between us of 2000 and husband always in overdraft due to silly decision when he was younger but always clears when he gets paid. We have a car on pcp for 160 a month then phone contracts.
Did you go though a broker?
Try and relax I made myself ill with worrying.
It only took us 2 weeks from full application to our offer and we got our offer early to mid June.
