Mortgage and overdraft

I’m about to apply for my first mortgage tomorrow, however I have a large overdraft if I pay this off am I more likely to get the mortgage?

    the use of the overdraft is often frowned upon by lenders as shows poor money management, it will impact on affordability. do you have any other debt?
