What can I use instead of harrisa paste

I have a sweet potato and halloumi salad recipe but it came for harrisa- I don't fancy buying any especially. Is there anything I can use instead?

I would use a squirt of tomato puree and some chilli flakes, cumin, garlic maybe with a dash of olive oil and seasoning, depending on the other components of the menu - finish with a squirt of lemon juice to lift it

That's helpful, thanks. I can't eat Harissa as it usually has MSG in it which I strongly react to..
I wanna be in the room where it happens

For the future, you can buy little tubes of it on the world foods aisle in bigger supermarkets - it comes in yellow boxes with a really pretty design and it's not dear (I think last time I bought some it was under £1). It's really tasty and versatile, I sometimes use it as a marinade for chicken thighs for the barbeque, or it's nice just swirled in some yogurt for a salad dressing or dip.
